ALONE { PART THREE }

Continued-

*BOOM*

We both fell silent instantly. A door or something had been slammed shut. There were a few shuffling sounds and then a metal flap on my door flew open. I could see a lady through the opening. “Who are you?” I said trying to sound confident (Really? Do you really expect her to tell you her name?) “I'm Raven” she said as she flashed a big evil smile. (Oh, well) “And I think you know why you're here.”

“Uhm, you don’t want me to start the Dorito petition?” I replied. She gave me a confused look and then said “Don’t play dumb with me, Mitsuka” Then I was just like “Gurl, whatchu talkin ‘bout?” She shut the flap and shuffled around a bit. When she came back, she had a torch. She put it on its highest possible setting and directed the rays towards my face.
“STAHP!” I screamed. She turned off the torch and slammed the metal opening shut. My eyes were still disoriented when she opened Rin’s cell. I heard a brief shriek (the torch strikes again!) and then

BAM!

She shut Rin’s door as well. Then she started shouting (into a phone, I guess), “I thought you said those guys were the best in the business! They are? Then why did they get me the wrong girls!?!?! You’re SORRY?? Thanks to you I have two random kids in here! What do I do with them? Forget them! What am I going to tell my boss?!?!? WHAT? NO. YOU ARE NOT GETTING PAID. Oh, and you’re also never working for us again.”

ALONE { PART TWO }

READ PART ONE HERE:
http://tcbbox.blogspot.in/2014/07/alone-part-one.html

“You know what we should do?” I suddenly say as we were watching a few snails cross the sidewalk on our way back from school, “We should start a petition to make Doritos available everywhere in India.” Rin considered the idea for a while and then responded with a meager, “Yeah, knock yourself out.” I was about to be all like, “DORITOS, RIN!!!! DDDOOORRRRIIIITTTOOOSSS!!!” but before I could, everything just went black.

When I woke up I couldn’t see anything. I raised my hand to my face and felt some sort of fabric. My eyes were covered with some sort of handkerchief. How cliché. Getting it off was pretty easy. My eyes took a while to get the {cell?} room in focus. Its walls were gray with a few dark patches. There was a light bulb on the back of a metal door emitting an eerie yellow glow. That’s it. No windows, no bed, no dead body (thank god). Wait. No. The patches on the wall....

{Its blood}”Some water must’ve leaked from the roof.” I tell myself.

{ !! IT’S BLOOD !! }

For some reason, till that moment, I hadn’t realised the seriousness of the situation. I'm in here alone. Wasn’t Rin with me? “Rin” I try to scream, but it comes out as a whisper. I try again, “RIN!!” I hear a thump on the other side of one of the walls. I get up and walk towards it. “Rin! Is that you?” I say. “O-Ora?” She sounds scared. {Of course she sounds scared. Why wouldn’t she?} “W-what happened?”She asks. “I don’t know, I think-“

ALONE { PART ONE }

“Oh, and guess what? MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE IS GETTING BACK TOGETHER!!!!”

“Wait, what?” were the only words I could manage to choke out.

I was walking to school with my best friend, Rin. We've been friends ever since we showed up wearing the exact same ‘Pierce the Veil’ tank top to one of our school field trips. I guess music does really bring people togeth-

“OI!! WATCH WHERE YOU’RE GOING!!!” I shouted at a black SUV that had almost hit us. “Idiot” Rin mumbled. “So, ora-chan, have you prepared for Madame Bonnefoy’s test today?” She asked. “Yeah, I was up all night studying” I replied. My real name isn't Ora, mind you. It’s Anastasia. And Rin isn't Rin. Her real name’s Reid. Why the fake names, you ask? Well, apart from alternative music, we both also love anime, k-pop and j-pop (Korean and Japanese pop). Hence we call each other Rin-chan and Ora-chan. So kawaii*!

We eventually reach school, get our books from our lockers (which are plastered with band posters, anime characters and a few drawings done by none other than moi) and head for our classes. After a lot of boringness (is that a word?) we meet outside the cafeteria and talk about said boringness for a while. We then go over the events of the latest jigoku shiouji episode and eventually get up and start walking back home. We could have taken the bus. But we didn't. And that’s when it happened.

*kawaii- cute.

Next installment to be uploaded in a few days.

ALONE

Hello there readers! Yeah, i know it's been a really long time since I last posted, but i have a valid reason. I've moved back to Bangalore! YAY! So, i didn't have access to a computer for MONTHS and I've practically been living off my phone, but now I can start posting again! This post is going to be really REALLY small, but it's just kind of an intro type thing for my next few posts.

From the beginning of this month, I've been working on some sort of (book?) story type thing that i'm going to start posting a few minutes after this. I've finished four chapter type things and will continue writing as i upload. I've decided to name said story 'alone'. Because why not? And again, the first chapter thing will be up a few minutes after this post is up, so odds are as and when you're reading this, it'll already have been uploaded. SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!?!?!?!?!

Apologies for the shortness of this post. It's more of an update, technically.

I'll post the link to the first part here: http://tcbbox.blogspot.in/2014/07/alone-part-one.html

Captaincy, birthdays and 5sos....

Hai again! Today I decided to post a diary entry of sorts, in contrast to the usual reviews or rants. So, let’s get started!

If you already read my last post, then you know that I had signed up for the post of school captain a few days ago. If you haven’t read that post yet then... well, you know now. But, moving on, we had our speeches and the voting yesterday, and they announced the results today........... I WON!!! I know, I didn’t believe it at first. I was literally all like:

But, yeah, the other candidates insisted that I give my supposed ‘political party’ a name. For example, one of the guys who participated in the elections called his party the ABP, Aam Boy Party- sorry if you're not from India and didn’t understand the AAP reference. I decided to name my party the Poorly Draw Turtles (PDT)

So, I got 66 votes and the dude that came second got 45 votes. I was kind of convinced they had counted wrong considering how big a gap that is, but the teachers assured me that they counted right. So, yeah. That happened. In other news, my birthday is coming up (ONLY 10 DAYS TILL I TURN 13!). School’s going OK. We've decided to have a party in class because the elections are finally over but apart from that, there’s really not much going on.

Today the girls started talking about some Hindi reality show and snakes or something while I just closed my eyes, meditated and attempted to form some sort of telepathic connection with Calum Hood so that I could try to make him get his band to India. Because seriously,  we could really use a 5 seconds of summer concert here! But I failed at the telepathy thing, maybe it was because the Hindi soap opera filled brainwaves of my classmates blocked me. If that’s the case, I’d better try again now that I’m at home. Yeah, that’d be a totally plausible.

Adieu for now! I’m off to attempt to get 5sos to tour our little country.

YOU’RE WELCOME, INDIA!!!!!!

(P.S - I won't be posting for some time since my summer vacations have finally started. But I shall be back with some new content in about a month.)

EIGHTH GRADE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That’s right, I’m officially an 8th grader! This also means that I’m in the senior most class in my school (Finally!). But, I'm kind of sad about going back since this year most of my classmates have decided to shift schools. This didn't affect me at first considering that I usually don’t stay in one place for more than two years and I thought we might leave Goa by the end of this year. However, we've decided to stay (I mean, come on! It’s Goa!).

Though, it’s fine if some people leave, right? It’s not like I absolutely needed one of them to talk to, in order to stay sane after interacting with most of the other people in my class who can literally cause my IQ level to drop just by talking to me for ten minutes. *note the truckload of sarcasm*. My absolute best friend and only source of sanity has left me all alone to fend for myself. The number of students in our class has been reduced from last year’s 21 to a staggering 11. ELEVEN!!!!

So, since we are the highest class as of now, we get to run for school captain! I signed myself up, of course, mainly because I have a slight problem with delivering speeches and I thought this’d be a good challenge. Oh, and if you’re one of the students from my school, I want to let you know that I have cupcakes and nutella. They might be yours if you vote for me. (Emphasis on ‘might’ because seriously, LOOK AT ME! Do you think I’m gonna give you any of my food?? Yeah, I didn't think so).

But yeah, hopefully I’ll manage to survive this year *fingers crossed*. Though I might be able to make it through the year if you all follow me and send me some nutella *nudge nudge*

That is all.

Hetalia: Axis Powers

Over the last year I’d heard a lot about an anime web series called Hetalia. I’d thought about watching it a few times but never really got to it....... up until the day before yesterday....... aaaand now I’ve found a new obsession! I’ve already finished the first season and am about to start the others after I finish writing this.

Now, if you're an otaku (someone who loves anime) then I think you should totally start watching or reading Hetalia, if you haven’t already. If you're not an otaku, I think this particular series will be a great way to start getting sucked into the amazing vortex of exaggerated facial expressions and a lot of subbing and dubbing that is anime.

The series is based on different countries represented by different characters and gives a lot of insight into our history in a fun and entertaining way. One little word of caution- the show can get VERY stereotypical. It doesn’t mean to offend anyone; it just very blatantly incorporates common stereotypes into each characters personality. Like Greece being a total cat lover (and I mean TOTAL) or Italy’s obsession with pasta.

The English dubbing is very good with each country having their own distinct accent, in contrast to most anime that I watch that is either dubbed very badly or just has wrong subtitles. My favourite Hetalia characters as of now are (roughly in order)-

  • Germany (Ludwig Beilschmidt) - I could write a whole paragraph explaining why he’s my number one but I'm trying to make this as short as possible. HE. IS. AWESOME.
  • Italy (Veneziano/Feliciano Vargas) - Because pasta!!!
  • France (Francis Bonnefoy) - I don’t know why he’s on this list. Though his hair’s pretty, well, pretty!
  • Hungary (Elizaveta Hédeváry) – She’s by far my favourite female character on this show, what with psychotic Belarus and... Oh wait, Lichtenstein is also a pretty good girl character... the others usually freak me out.
  • Russia (Ivan Braginski) – Cute and cuddly on the outside, practically pure evil on the inside, what’s not to like?

Hetalia just happens to have one of the most ridiculous theme songs of all time. Each character has his or her own rendition of this song. And I, being the utterly weird person I am, have memorised almost all of them.

When I sleep, the only thing I hear is Feliciano’s voice singing, “marukaite chikyuu” again and again. I need help.

Hetalia is very informative when it comes to most history topics. Seriously speaking, I don’t see why we all don’t just watch Hetalia episodes instead of sitting through history class. But one thing’s for sure, I’m not gonna be able to keep a straight face while learning history because each topic will trigger some sort of idiotic but still funny memory. Thank you Hetalia, you have turned me into a retard that randomly smiles to herself while the teacher explains about the hundreds of deaths during a war.

I leave you all with a random Hetalia GIF
